We went to Christy's 30th b'day party on Saturday. She has a trivia challenge, which was great fun. Instead of giving presents people were encouraged to give to TEAR & over $800 was raised, which is great.

prison ministry
I went to Parklea prison on Sunday to attend 2 chapel services in the morning at the chapel they have there. It was good fun & great to meet some of the men at the prison.

wood fire pizza
One Hawaiian wood fired pizza coming right up! On the weekend we spent some time at the shack at Bruny Island. James made his long awaited wood fired pizza oven from an existing barbecue. It worked a treat and we both enjoyed the fruits of our labor for dinner that night.

Building a house
What else would you want to be doing in your holidays???Over the last 3 days James has been working with Dad and Nick building 2 units. He loved getting back into building and doing physical work again. Tomorrow we are heading off to Bruny Island for 3 days so the next blog you see will cooking a pizza in a makeshift wood fired pizza oven.

Welcome to Tasmania...
We flew in to Tasmania on Saturday morning and couldn't resist the beautiful snow which covered mount Wellington. That same afternoon we were catching up with friends on top of the mountain. We spent about 2 hours there - it was lovely to get home and defrost. Lets just say that sneakers aren't very waterproof when walking in knee deep snow. We had a great time though.
