We had our end of season dinner last night. It was great to catch up with mates from soccer & talk about the season & start thinking about next season.
I really enjoyed playing again, scored a few goals & made some new friends.

Preached today on Mark 8:1-26 which includes the interesting passage where Jesus heals a man twice.
What is going on here?
I think what we have here is an acted out parable that is the hinge of the chapter.
The disciples are spiritually blind, then we have the first healing.
Jesus heals the man a second time, then will go on to tell his disciples that he will die & rise again.

One good thing about having your b'day on fathers day is you get combined presents, so then you get bigger presents. With all the rain we have been getting, I'm waiting for the sun to come out & the grass to grow so that I can unleash my 4 stroke blades of glory.
